About Us
The Élisabeth Foundation is a humanitarian nonprofit organization working to transform the lives of African women and children affected by cancer and endometriosis—two often overlooked health crises that silently devastate families and communities across the continent.
Founded with compassion and purpose, our mission is to provide direct medical support, raise awareness, and build stronger local healthcare systems in underserved and rural regions. We believe that no woman or child should suffer or die simply because of where they live or what they can afford.
In many parts of Africa, access to healthcare is limited, diagnoses are delayed for years, and treatment is financially out of reach. Endometriosis is frequently misunderstood, and cancer often goes undetected until it’s too late. The Élisabeth Foundation exists to change that reality—by funding surgeries, therapies, diagnostics, and aftercare; educating families and healthcare workers; and investing in sustainable, community-based solutions.
Our work is driven by empathy and rooted in collaboration. We partner with local clinics, hospitals, and community leaders to deliver care that is both culturally sensitive and accessible. We also provide psychosocial support to patients and families, walking with them through the emotional and physical toll of chronic illness.
At the heart of everything we do is a deep belief in dignity, equity, and hope. We are not just responding to a health crisis—we are building a movement to ensure every woman and child in Africa has the chance to live a healthy, empowered life.
We are The Élisabeth Foundation—a lifeline for the vulnerable, a catalyst for change, and a voice for those who’ve been unheard for too long.
Our Mission
At The Élisabeth Foundation, our mission is to bring hope, healing, and health to African women and children affected by cancer and endometriosis.
We exist to break the silence surrounding these often-ignored conditions by providing life-saving medical care, raising awareness, and empowering local healthcare systems.
We believe that no woman or child should be denied treatment because of poverty, stigma, or geography. Through compassion, collaboration, and action, we are committed to creating a future where healthcare is a right—not a privilege—for every life we touch.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every African woman and child has access to early diagnosis, quality treatment, and compassionate care—regardless of income, location, or background.
Our goal is to build a future where cancer and endometriosis are no longer silent killers, and where health equity is not a privilege, but a guaranteed right.
Through sustained action and local empowerment, we aim to create lasting change—one life, one community, and one continent at a time.
Our Story
The story of The Élisabeth Foundation begins with a simple truth: too many women and children in Africa suffer in silence from diseases that are treatable—if only they had access to care.
It started with a single patient. A young woman named Élisabeth, full of life and potential, endured years of undiagnosed pain. By the time she was finally diagnosed with endometriosis, her condition had worsened, and treatment was out of reach. In the same hospital ward, children were quietly fighting cancer without proper medication, while families struggled to afford a single doctor’s visit. The pain was not just physical—it was emotional, systemic, and unjust.
Moved by Élisabeth’s story and countless others like hers, we created The Élisabeth Foundation—not just in her memory, but in honor of every woman and child whose voice has been ignored, whose suffering has been overlooked, and whose care has been delayed due to financial or systemic barriers.
From that day forward, our purpose became clear: to transform suffering into action, and isolation into support. We made it our mission to fight the twin health crises of cancer and endometriosis—two conditions that affect millions across Africa but receive far too little attention, resources, or understanding.
Our journey has taken us deep into underserved communities, rural clinics, and crowded urban hospitals. We've witnessed resilience in the face of pain, strength in the midst of struggle, and hope in the most unexpected places. We've partnered with local doctors, trained healthcare workers, supported families, and most importantly, stood by patients who felt forgotten.
Today, The Élisabeth Foundation is more than a nonprofit—it’s a movement. A movement to raise awareness, deliver treatment, provide emotional support, and build stronger healthcare systems that serve everyone, not just the few.
Our story is not just about what we’ve done—it’s about what we will continue to do. With each life we touch, each diagnosis we fund, and each community we uplift, we are writing a new chapter: one of healing, equity, and hope.
We are here because too many are still unheard.
We are here because no one should fight alone.
We are The Élisabeth Foundation—and this is only the beginning.
